These Terms of Service (the Terms) govern your access to and use of Strongman Live, a platform for running and watching live strength-sport competitions, operated by Austin Johnson, a sole proprietor in Wisconsin, USA (we, us, or our). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or to register, run, judge, or pay for a competition. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
You are responsible for your account, for keeping your login secure, and for all activity that happens under it. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You may delete your account at any time from within the app.
Strongman Live supports several roles, and the responsibilities differ:
You agree not to: break the law or infringe anyone's rights; upload content that is illegal, sexual, gratuitously violent, harassing, hateful, or deceptive; impersonate others; disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its data; scrape or harvest personal information; or use the service to send spam. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
Organizers control their own competitions, including eligibility, divisions, schedules, scoring, and any registration or entry requirements. We provide the tools but are not the organizer of any event and are not responsible for how an event is run. Results, standings, records, and athlete profiles may be shown publicly. Disputes about a specific event should be raised with that event's organizer.
If you stream or upload video, you are responsible for having the rights to that content and for following the in-app streaming and content rules you accept when you enable streaming. We may stop or remove a stream that breaks those rules or the law.
Some features are paid, including event tiers, add-ons, athlete subscriptions, ticketing, and entry fees. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; by paying you also agree to Stripe's terms. Where Strongman Live charges a platform fee or take rate on tickets or entry fees, that fee is disclosed at the point of sale. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
You keep ownership of the content you submit, such as event details, profiles, photos, and video links. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to grant this license.
Strongman Live, including its software, design, logos, and the card and graphics systems, is owned by the operator of Strongman Live and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, resell, or create derivative works from the service except as allowed by law.
The service relies on third parties including Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (media and streaming), and our hosting and database providers. Your use of those features may be subject to the third party's terms, and we are not responsible for their services.
The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results and data will always be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strongman Live, its operator, and its contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Strongman Live and its operator from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your content, your events, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or the law.
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including payment, disclaimers, liability, and governing law, will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Wisconsin will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that is not otherwise resolved, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
